Once you have taken them out there should be a legendary, Pearlescent or an E-Tech Reilc depending on the difficulty you play on and the luck you have. You should open them one at a time because these guys can put you down almost instantly. Open them in any order but when you open the box to pick up the Echo recording, make sure you don’t pick up our else you can’t spawn any more Loot Midgets then you’ll have to hold F4 or dashboard on your console. You will find four boxes where you have to be super careful. If you’ve done that (optional) head to where the second Echo recording is. If you have the Creature Slaughter Dome you can enter in and out quickly so you don’t have to make the whole run again. If you don’t pick it up then you won’t find the Loot Midgets. Once you have this mission head to the where the first Echo recording is and pick it up. This will make you collect 4 Echo Devices located in the Wildlife Exploitation Preserve. Next head to Tannis in Sanctuary and she will give you a side-quest called Doctor’s Orders.
First you need to unlock the Wildlife Exploitation Prevserve. These chances are really low but here is a way that most people use to get a guarantee three or four Legendary Loot Midgets. Legendary Loot Midgets can be found anywhere in Pandora by opening lockers, Hyperion ammo crates, cardboard boxes and almost any lootable container that’s not a chest. In normal and True Vault Hunter mode they only have a chance of dropping legendaries but in Ultimate Vault Hunter mode they can drop Eridian-Tech relics,Pearlescents and legendaries. They are called Legendary Loot midgets in Ultimate Vault Hunter mode but the drop rates for legendaries are the same for me. These guys are called Loot Midgets in True Vault Hunter and normal mode. They are midget variants of Gun Loaders, Jet Loaders, War Loaders, Hyperion Engineers,normal engineers,rats and the super rare Jimmy J3NKN5, Loot Midget Goliath and the ultra rare Legendary Loot Midget Psycho which I have never seen since the day I’ve bought this game in 2012. There are hundreds of different ways to obtain loot in Borderlands 2 and can get frustrating when you don’t get a single legendary from the 1/30 loot pool chance by each boss.
